ACTIVIST.
Kevin has been a climate activist for over 10 years fighting for his fellow angelenos and students alike, so that students and community members are aware about the climate crisis and its effects on their everyday lives. Kevin has joined numerous organizations that commit to what he believes in. He is passionate about fighting for his local community and for his generation as a student and youth leader who has been personally been impacted by the climate crisis.

OneUpAction is built by a group of powerful intersectional youth advocates who realized that just participating in climate strikes, rallies, and legislative advocacy wasn’t enough to solve the climate crisis. In order to see a true impact, we must take our energy to mass mobilize and complement it with local direct action. OneUpAction goal is creating a platform in which marginalized young people could get the resources needed to be empowered to take direct action in their own communities to combat the climate crisis when people in positions of power are not.

National Geographic’s Youth Explorers 2020 Cohort - These 22 young people, between the ages of 16 and 26, represent six countries and are engaged in impact-driven efforts ranging from scientific innovation and conservation, to education, civic engagement, storytelling and more—all developing solutions to pressing problems within their communities.

The 1t.org US Stakeholder Council is made up of senior-level representatives from U.S.-based governments, corporations and nonprofit organizations. They inform the strategic direction of the chapter and ensures that its operations and technical services equitably meet the needs of all one trillion trees stakeholders.

Intersectional Environmentalist is an inclusive version of environmentalism that advocates for both the protection of people and the planet. It identifies the ways in which injustices happening to marginalized communities and the earth are interconnected. It brings injustices done to the most vulnerable communities, and the earth, to the forefront and does not minimize or silence social inequality. Intersectional environmentalism advocates for justice for people + the planet.
